"The Paper Cutters"
"I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. What I can do, I should do. And what I should do, by the grace of God, I will do."
The paper recycling program at Lake Ridge helps to protect the environment, conserve natural resources, save money, and reduce waste.
Not only does this program benefit the environment, it also shows students how an action as simple as recycling a sheet of paper instead of throwing it away can make a difference in their environment at home, at school, and in the community. With each sheet of paper we keep out of the landfill, we are helping to achieve local, regional, national, and global environmental results.
Lake Ridge students meet one day after school every other week to collect the paper from every recycling bin in the school. These students take great pride in the efforts they are making towards protecting their environment and making a difference!
